The client

Club Esperanza needed to generate registrations for an in-person event through a lead-capture campaign. I ran the full campaign in Meta Ads Manager (Facebook + Instagram): video creative production, audience targeting, Meta Pixel + Conversions API, and ongoing optimization. The main call to action on the ads is a free assessment form, and the event itself takes place on September 29–30, 2026.

The challenge

Before this engagement, the account had no way of knowing which specific ad generated each lead — only aggregate numbers inside Meta Ads Manager were visible. In addition, any change to a live ad with real spend risks resetting its learning phase inside Meta's algorithm, so every adjustment had to be evaluated carefully before applying it.

WhatsApp automation with Clara and n8n

Published Meta app with an approved review: WhatsApp messaging, WhatsApp management and public profile permissions were confirmed as approved, alongside the Embedded Signup configuration used by the coexistence assistant. Each future customer still requires individual assessment and authorization.

The project now includes a WhatsApp assistant connected through n8n and an administrative control to pause or enable automatic replies without disconnecting WhatsApp.

Implementation and test evidence

These are real frames from the recordings prepared for Meta testing and review. Phone numbers, conversations, identifiers and private technical data were hidden before publication.

Verified outcome: the app is published and Meta approved whatsapp_business_messaging, whatsapp_business_management and public_profile. Original recordings remain private because they contain third-party information.

The implementation was delivered operational and the Meta app passed review. The September 30, 2026 technical audit verified publication, permissions and the active workflow; it did not repeat onboarding or send real messages. No unmeasured business results are attributed to Clara.

What was done

Complete project evolution

  1. Advertising strategy and production: objectives, video creative, targeting, A/B testing and daily Meta Ads budget management.
  2. Measurement and attribution: Meta Pixel, Conversions API, destination-link verification and lead tracking from advertising references.
  3. Control panel: full-stack Next.js and MongoDB development, Meta Ads Insights synchronization, metrics and lead administration.
  4. Official WhatsApp infrastructure: Meta assets, a published messaging app and approved messaging, management and public-profile permissions.
  5. Coexistence: Embedded Signup configuration and testing to use WhatsApp Business alongside Cloud API within Club Esperanza's approved scope.
  6. Clara and n8n: webhook connection, message extraction, conversational memory, AI replies, deduplication and retries for temporary failures.
  7. Control and lead quality: an administrative pause switch and an ad-origin filter before a contact is registered as a lead.
  8. Documentation and reuse: operational guidance, known limits and a checklist for future client-specific implementations.

The 3 ads, compared

Spend was split between a traffic ad driving to the landing page and two variants of a lead generation ad, tested against each other.

Results by ad, cumulative through September 22, 2026
Ad Objective Results Cost / result Spend Impressions Reach CPM Clicks CTR CPC
F1 – Ad AActive Traffic / landing page visits 12,239 visits €0.02 €261.84 121,589 76,442 €2.15 13,401 12.04% €0.02
F1C – Ad A (subtitled V2)Active, scaled Leads 7 leads €31.24 €218.76 8,300 6,161 €26.36 736 13.12% €0.20
F1C – Ad A (original)Paused Leads 1 lead €40.43 €40.43 5,597 4,901 €7.22 326 9.52% €0.08

Learnings

The traffic ad (F1) achieved a CPC of just €0.02 and a 12.04% CTR, well above the industry average for this type of campaign. Comparing the two lead-generation creatives, the subtitled version (V2) improved CTR over the original (13.12% vs. 9.52%) and lowered CPM, which is why the original ad was paused and the subtitled version scaled instead.

Final registrations and cost per registration require a post-event report. Those metrics have not been updated as part of this technical review.

Why per-lead attribution matters

Most agency dashboards stop at the aggregate metrics Meta Ads Manager provides: impressions, clicks, spend. Club Esperanza's panel goes one step further — every individual lead is linked to the exact ad that generated it via fbclid, making it possible to decide with real data which ads to duplicate, pause, or scale instead of relying only on account-wide averages.
